I'M ON THE PROBIE LIST!

I got three 2.0's, two INC's and a 1.25. I can't believe I was so clueless of the requirements in one subject I THINK I regularly attended. Tee hee. That's just what I thought. How fabulous. Now, I'm on the PROBIE LIST for Christ's sake! It means I just passed barely 65% of the total units I took last semester. Dang.

Monologue

Yes, don't admit it.

Keep telling yourself that you don't like him, that your daydreams aren't filled with thoughts of him getting pissed drunk by the pool or that your morning rituals are disturbed by thoughts of maybe seeing him after a couple of hours.

It's not even love. COME ON! It's just one notch from crushing and lower than infatuation. He's not even your type. You like chinky-eyed men with lotsa piercings or tattoos, who look mysterious and stay in one corner of a classroom. He's not even witty! He likes MATH for pete's sake! Eeeew. You're getting grossed out now huh?

If you keep telling yourself this, maybe you will stop feeling this way and if you're lucky, you might stop feeling altogether.

The Folly of Philippine Society

My elementary days are a blur. The most distinct memory I could conjure was that of my fifth grade English teacher. She had a pimply face but an impressive diction for a teacher in a small catholic school. Although I cannot remember her name, I always remembered how we looked up to her and half-cowered and half-giggled at her snide comments. She had an impression of being a demi-goddess - actualized by sentences like: "Ay si ma'am, kumakain pala ng mangga!:

I can't help but notice. We all have such high expectations of school teachers, but our parents don't want us to become teachers. We expect intelligent students to take up something related to medicine, engineering, or law. Anything outside the triumvirate are for morons or just really artistic morons.

Why?

The long descent..
