Harassed!
To enumerate, I have 2 microteachings (EDH101 and EDTECH101), 2 whopping papers on Montessori, 6 final exams, 1 report remaining on Educational Psychology and 1 research paper to boot.
I just love my life.
Our pet cat of three colors gave birth to 2 cute kitties last friday night. I haven't seen them that close yet but I think they're all beautiful. Talk about the beauty of creation. Too bad I wasn't witness to the whole thing. I looked at Neko-neko (our cat) and thought she didn't get thin one small bit. She's still fat - now I wonder if we overfeed her or if she just needs to get out more.
Anyway, my leg muscles are so sore from all the running and lifting last Saturday. We organized a sportsfest for all the Red Cross Youth councils. I woke up at about 5 am and started to cook okra and make ampalaya juice for the relay. Denise went over to the apartment and dropped off this humungous pot and an icebox. Her dad drove us to the UP track oval and we saw some participants already waiting with an emergency response unit vehicle. They were so early we couldn't take it. The stage haven't even been set-up yet. But, at the end of the day, the games were just a means to end. The end is of course socialization. Hrrm. Some participants came from Manila, Valenzuela, and Caloocan including someone I know for about three years now.
I know he doesn't read my journal so its harmless to post something about him. He didn't know my orgmate bounced up and down telling me he already arrived. I plunged into a state of shock and remembered I just retouched so its safe. Hehe. I was burning edges of bandanas for the participants so the thread wouldn't run when I saw him join the queue for registration. I have been crushing on him for about 2 years but I don't really think about him that much because I don't see him often. He waved and I waved back (so lame). I was assigned to be a marshall for the brown team so I told the registration head to sign him up under my team. Bwahahaha. But there was this big mix-up and he was assigned to another team. I almost wringed my partner in crime at registration when I saw him with a blue bandana.
But FATE intervened! He sat next to me at the bleachers and told me he should have been in my team. After 10 minutes of pagpapacute, I saw him wearing a brown bandana around his neck and I secretly smiled. He joked a lot with his friends and I couldn't look at him that much (baka mabisto).
Him: Uy san ka magbabakasyon?
Me: Umm.. mag-aaral ako eh. Kung pwede lang sana.
Him: Ah.. sayang naman.
(Then all of his friends started talking about Boracay. Sheesh)
SHIT! SHIT! S-H-I-T!
I always do that! Tinanong niya ko dati..
Him: What do you think about commitment?
Me: Its like a leash.
Him: Paano kung ligawan kita? Sa tingin mo ba magiging tayo?
Me: I'm not looking kasi for a commitment now eh.
*Then he doesn't contact me for a year. How fucked up is that?! O well, baka isa siyang malaking tampo tae*
When there's a gig somewhere I always see him! I saw him at the Fete de la Musique at Libis, UP Fair 05, Rock En roll, etc. Grabe na, if I don't do something fast, I might just miss half my life. (haha)
For the record, my first Taglish post is about a boy.

The next one is going to be a hard and hectic school year. The org elections have come and gone. I have been appointed Medical Missions Director next year and I'm scared shit.
I wanted this responsibility all along.
Maybe its the right time to let everyone know I can do it.
I feel my CSS skills are enough to make a new lay-out. Hrrmmm this one's inspired by my sister's stock of cutesy icons. I've got tons to finish and this is what I do?! What the hell?!
Anyway, both my thumbs hurt from all the 'texting' since I got hooked on smart's unlimited text promo. Coherence escapes me at this moment.
If you feel that this lay-out sucks just tell me for improvement. I just need comments on this and I will be apeaced. With this, I do my research papers!
Btw, thanks tara for the caricature.
The original picture had two of us looking dazed.
If you haven't heard of the Heimraths, read this.
Mr. Joachim Heimrath's son was KIDNAPPED and RAPED by the syndicate then SOLD to white slavery prostitution. They filed a complaint and asked help from the DSWD, but the people in Dividend Homes (Taytay, Rizal) turned the story around. The Heimraths were lynched from their home as a mob rule and the barangay captain was in on it! He used his connections to kick them out. Now, they have nowhere to, only relying on donations. They sold their possessions so they could eat and look for their missing son. If you hang around UPdiliman a lot, you can see them with their big placards clamoring for justice everyday around the acad oval usually in from of AS (Palma Hall).
From LJ peyups community:
Their daughter Anna had an accident with a hit & run driver... the driver paid them 2,000 pesos and then took off. Her pelvic bone was fractured and she is now immobile. The medical expenses haven't been paid yet.
The Embassy can't help them since the only solution they can come up with is to deport the family to Germany. Of course Mr. Heimrath doesn't want that since he still needs to recover his son and he has grown to love the Filipinos.
Pictures of them here:

The difference between man and animal is the act of compassion. You can help them by giving donations, you can comment on this if you want to give anything ( shampoo, clothes, but cash is preferred because they have nowhere to live now). You can also write a letter to RTL, it's a german tv station with a magazine show called "Punkt12" and they often feature human interest stories and help out sort of like Oprah. Click here then click Allgemeine Fragen zum RTL TV-Programm! and fill out the form. I've already sent a letter, but we'll need a lot of letters to convice them that my story is not bogus. Maybe if we get enough attention, we can get a german news team to go to manila to film the heimraths and get some response (or even aid) from the homefront. (From darra).
After clicking "Allgemeine Fragen zum RTL TV-Programm":
1. choose Punkt 12 from the dropdown list.
2. ANREDE (address or title) - choose either FRAU (miss) or HERR (mister)
3. VORNAME - your first name
4. NACHNAME - your last name
5. fill in your email addy
6. write down your letter. you can write it in english.
7. click senden to send your message.
This issue has been forwarded to one of the Philippine local TV stations but I don't know why they kept quiet about this. There are rumors that they have been paid to shut up.
Someone even gave his cellphone to Mr. Heimrath, seeing that he needed it more. A UP professor provided them board and lodging for a month. But, that duration is about to end and they need somewhere to live. Please help.
