Anti-climatic end

I have been pretentiously including this song for my activities, but I don't really exercise. But now, I got to enroll in a gym na! Yesterday, I went with Lynne on a fab adventure to Arena Fitness. I already paid for a month, so I'm not gonna back out on this one - even though my mom paid for it. Ha. I'm looking forward to the jazz and hiphop dance classes - its kinda late though, like 7:30 PM.

Anyway, when I was riding a jeep back to UP from the gym, I received a text message from a very close friend. Her dad passed away yesterday morning. I don't know yet why but I'm betting it had something to do with his heart because he's kinda overweight. Don't get me wrong, he's not the dad who I just know from a distance or the dad who just hollers when the dinner's set. He talks to us, remembers details, and he just makes our overnights a little brighter because of his super-corny-you-just-laugh jokes. He's at Loyola Sucat, my grampa's sister had her burol there too.

Let's wish he's at a better place now.

Fuck simbang gabi

We went a-caroling last a couple of hours ago somewhere in Pasig - just two houses but we were really stuffed. Kim's aunt had a French guy for a husband and he offered us wine, patterned after his family's own wine 'recipe'. While Pipay's aunt served fresh burgers and chocolate cake. Yummm. Anyway, someone thought of going to Tagaytay after caroling. So, after we dropped off Pipay, Den and Armi, we went to NIP (National Institute of Physics) to pick up Peter's girlfriend, who's also an applicant.

But, t'was past 12mn so I decided not to go because my mum's insisting that we go to mass at friggin' 4AM. Its too late and I told my mum I'll be home by 8pm. I got home at about 1 AM, wishing my folks were already asleep. I realized that the universal forces conspired against me, as I saw my dad fully awake and tinkering with the PC. Good thing he didn't get mad.

Ha. I'm slowly training my parents to accept that I'm already a responsible adult. I messaged my orgmates (who were now enjoying at Tagaytgay) and they are having a blast. Grrrr.

(Damn cat's insanely purrring. Maybe she's horny.)

Its now 4:28 AM. I heard the church bells and my mum didn't wake up. Yes! I don't have to endure the thirty-minute rambling of a Catholic priest. Lucky forces are with me again (they are sometimes unreliable and balimbing).

Erratum: Or so I thought. After I logged off, my mum woke up and dragged me off to church. The hell.

Flash games and fanning flames

I'm freakin' addicted to flash games, man. Grabe. Go here - its a haven of fun, addicting flash games. I wanna play Mansion Impossible but it wouldn't load. Groar. Anyway, some thoughts:

My mom and I were on our 5th misa de gallo..

The priest's homily (something like): Hey, did you guys watch Kingkong? There was this scene where the leading lady wanted to tell the gorilla that she's beautiful by making this hand gestures on her chest. Nearing the end of the movie, Kingkong did the same hand gesture because it/he wanted to tell the lady that he's beautiful too.

Good heavens! What a fucking load of crap~! Kaya nawawalan ng kultura mga churchgoers eh. I just made this face. Ugh. Loads of people listen to priests who spew bullshit. Jesus!

-------

This call center boom makes me think if Pinoys are really cut out to swallow crap from foreigners. We are preparing our undergrads for a four-year course to take bull everyday - isn't that enough mental torture? No biggie, I don't have anything against call center agents, most people don't wanna work in their field because the pay is so minute you wouldn't even see it under a microscope.

-------

I was hanging out peacefully upstairs when firetruck sirens disturbed my peace. Looked out the window - two different places were ablaze. Malakas pa naman yung hangin. Its fanning the flames and I can see them roar. It took about 9 hours to subdue the fire. I bet lots of people were injured. Good luck talaga sa New Year.
