When's the Next Time

I have a sinking feeling I'll be performing a limitbreak for work later. That nanonap earlier really shouldn't have happened, plus the coffee. What was I thinking, frak.

The last few days of oversnoozing might have contributed too. I just can't force my eyes close today, might as well put it to a good use and catch the New Moon movie. I'm really hating that I couldn't find a schedule swap today, even with a P200 incentive for the willing swapper. It's bad enough that I'm on a consecutive no show to the troop meetings, I can't even go to the troop outing and be useful. Work's really not scoring any points with me right now.

What a hoot if I fell asleep during a call later. Took me two years before it happened in Convergys, wonder how long the next time would be here.

OT on Weekends

New house, new schedule, new lifestyle. All of the above is playing havoc on my sleeping pattern. I'm currently averaging 8 hours of sleep a day, which is a disgraceful waste. And last night I was out for 12 hours, which also happened last week. I'd like to say it's because I'm sick, but I can't even fool myself even for a minute.

Here's something funny, workforce is asking for mandatory overtime from everyone. Yeah, as if they can compel anyone to render ot if they didn't want to. But the TL asked us nicely, and that's that. Only for a couple of hours though. I honestly don't intend to give more than 5 hours anyway. Some of the guys decided to give the full 7 hours workforce asked for during their offs, not me though. You couldn't pay me enough to go to work on an off. I've decided on the 30 minutes a day routine.

It's not enough they ruin your life and give you weekday offs, but now they want you to come in still? Not having any of that, go screw yourselves. I really gotta find a new job.

Always Something There to Remind Me

Been feeling lethargic over the past few days. The reason reared its ugly head when I started coughing earlier, as in phlegmy cough. I'd take a raging fever anyday, but not sore throat and a cough. Those things usually last more than a month for me, for some unfair reason.

The house's improving. It's still a tight squeeze everytime you walk around but still, maybe it's one of those things you get use to. Worse case scenario, find other places to crash instead of at home. That's gonna be tricky now that we're in Mandaluyong.

Still haven't found someone willing to swap schedules with me this Saturday. I really don't know how to break it to Allen that he's gonna babysit the troop on his own. lol. But seriously, everyday there's gonna be something that's gonna remind me how sucky my job is.

For example, I just filed my unused VL's on a week that's completely useless to me. I just filed them for the sole reason of filing them, lest the cutoff time comes around and they go to waste. See, that's another idiotic policy here. They don't credit VL's. And they don't care if they have over 300 agents desperately fighting over 15 slots each day. I'm sure the devil who sits on the HR boss chair is laughing his fat ass off every day.

Ending with a bright side, day off's here at last. Dunno how I'm gonna enjoy it though.

What a fucking day. Will write about it later after work. Just came from a dota game and I have 5 hours of sleep before I go visit the school after many weeks of absence.

Common Denominator

I'm a bit pissed that I've wasted a part of my weekend. Took a nap earlier around 2 pm and woke up at 1:00 am. That's about 11 hours of my life I'll never get back.

Work starts today, yet again. 5 more days til the next off. Frak.

But at least, I got regularized on Monday, so that's one worry off my back. Money couldn't be tighter around here.

Spent the 2 days watching movies, playing Arkham, reading comics and Wookieeing. Common denominator of all three? Things that are free and can be done at home. I seriously need to get out more.

Tomorrow's the Day

It used to be so simple. You just wait for the weekends. But after so many weekends you begin to wonder, what exactly am I waiting for?

Missed Anime Overload, and chances are I'll be missing Mangaholix as well. To top it up, it's almost guaranteed I won't be getting a restday or VL for new year's eve. I can go on awol like last year I think, if I get regularized tomorrow that is.

It's a split in half moment again. One half is the practical one since getting fired then moving to a new job at this time is simply not possible. Too many bills to pay. But the other half is cocky and too burnt out. I believe his motto is "Fire me so I can finally get away from this shithole". The dilemma here is both sides have seriously strong arguments I can't ignore.

Just Thinking

I wish will power and tenacity could be stored in a jar. That way whenever I feel the utmost urge or when I'm feeling "game" in an inopportune moment,  I can store the feeling for another day. It would certainly hit the spot on days where I need to do something yet feeling lethargic to do so.

Anyway, after putting it off so many times, I finally created the multiply account for the group. Next hurdle would be actually filling it with content and fixing the template. Oh, and the logo too. Then after all these small things, we can finally get started on the stuff we intend to sell.

It's not much, but the whole prospect of actually doing it makes me wanna crawl into bed and just sleep.

Commuting

I've commuted to the office from our new home thrice now, with just a wee-bit problems in the getting off part. What I hate about Makati is its inane regulations as to where a bus can load and unload passengers. It's really stupid. If the bus already stopped and is awaiting passengers, what's the harm in letting some hurrying passengers get off? I've lost count on how many times I've been late due to this idiotic rule.

Well going back to the point, in all three times I've commuted to work, I've gotten off on three different spots. Farthest by far was earlier today. I expected the bus to stop in front of GT tower, or at the very least, in front of the RCBC building, fraking driver just kept on going way past the post office. Good thing I had a few minutes to spare and made it to the office in time.

Commuting back home is another matter though. First attempt fell on a holiday, so there's not much bus around that time and I was forced to hail a cab. Second attempt was Fever Night, and rather than doze unaware and find myself way past my stop, I elected to get a cab for the fastest ride home. Third time's the charm as earlier this evening, I caught a bus with my new kasabays from work. Traded one group for another.

Think I'm slowly getting the hang of this. Next trick is to actually learn the name of the streets.
